I believe that when family relationships breakdown, the best solutions are created when the people involved can discuss their futures, and those of their children, in an informed and respectful way. The strength of collaborative family law is that it allows separating spouses to understand their options and develop their own solutions.
As a collaborative lawyer my job is to help you through that process. I am trained as a family law mediator and will use my skills as an interests-based negotiator to help you work through difficult issues in a practical and sensitive way. I also practise in other areas of law that directly affect families, including wills and estates and adult guardianship, and am able to draw on that experience in advising my family law clients.
I worked as a writer and journalist before attending law school and have been practising family law since 1999.
